Zach McCaffree “Hiding Perfectly Gorgeous People’s Faces”

Zach McCaffree is a film photographer currently residing in Los Angeles by way of Honolulu, Seattle, and Spokane.

“For me, one of the most significant qualities a photo can have is a certain level or air of mystery, even if it’s slight.  I am captivated by not being able to make out the person whose portrait I’m taking. I love the intimacy of a persons eyes and that relationship with the camera but I equally enjoy wondering “who is that”, “what do they look like”, and “what is going on here”.  I find it frustrating, but in a good way. I think that is why I keep hiding perfectly gorgeous peoples faces.” - Zach McCaffree
